I feel like I should ask everyone because I don't want to annoy you all.
If you haven't heard, my story "There Must Be Murder," a Northanger Abbey sequel, will be published on the Jane Austen Centre at Bath site starting this month. Within the next few days, actually. There will be a chapter published each month throughout 2007.
Since they don't have a discussion forum on the site anymore, I offered Molland's for anyone that wants to discuss the story. It will be a separate forum and there will be a link from the chapters directly to the forum, though I will invite visitors to check out the rest of the forum and the site.
I thought it would also be a good way to recruit some new members for the forum. Not that I don't love you all or that I am unhappy with the present state of things but thought it might be fun to bring in some new members, presumably also Jane Austen fans.
Let me know, honestly, what you think, okay?
Thanks!

Look forward to your story, HP.
Is it a mystery ? Wonder if there'll be a real body or prisoner in the Abbey- sorry, i can't resist.
May our imaginations run wild with speculations ?
An on-going story is a fun idea, and may well bring in some new Mollanders.

I'd love to read and discuss it.
I too have a Northanger sequel (and a prequel) in the super early stages of being thought out/written. I don't really expect either will ever be completed, but just in case, I probably ought to warn you that the sequel is a mystery. I promise not to purloin any of your ideas.

It's a mystery the same way that NA is a Gothic novel.
Speculate away! But I will tell you that it takes place (mostly) in Bath. Since it was for the JA Centre at Bath, I thought it appropriate.
Thanks, all--I'll set up a separate forum, then.

How will we be able to read the story? Can we participate in the forum?

I'll post a link to the story when it goes live. The forum is right here at Molland's, a few steps down from here. :-)

A link to the first chapter is posted in the "A Very Nice Story" forum. The Centre newsletter isn't going out until Monday, I think, so we probably won't see a lot of visitors before then. Honestly I don't know if any will participate but I thought it would be nice to offer them a place.

Sounds like a very good idea offering Mollands. ^_^ I'm at work right now, or I'd read the chapter, but as soon as my computer at home is working I'll read it.

Cool! How often do new chapters get posted? And will you port them over here at some point if the Austen Centre links lapse?
