I wasn't going to mention this here since I posted on it in two other forums that people here frequent, but it was greeted with such enthusiasm elsewhere, I might as well share the love. 40 PBS stations have picked up the Christopher Eccleston run of DOCTOR WHO for broadcast starting as early as next month. My local PBS station is not among them, alas, but I'll probably end up buying the DVDs anyway, once I'm gainfully employed.
Here is the list.
Hopefully more PBS affiliates will hop on board. I recorded them all off the SciFi Channel, but I can't stand the friggin' animated banners advertising GHOST HUNTERS and WHO WANTS TO BE A SUPERHERO. Perhaps slightly less offensive than the BBC-America banner ads for MILE HIGH and FOOTBALLER'S WIVES, but only slightly. The original episodes ran 45 minutes which means at least 2-3 minutes were cut for SciFi and BBC-A.
