A tekwriter friend turned me on to this.  It works on much the same principle as Netflix.  You enter what you like, then rank their suggestions thumbs up or thumbs down to improve compatibility with your personal tastes.  So far, I've had the best results by starting with Nick Drake.  Available in the US only, alas, due to licensing issues.

I love Pandora.  I listen to it regularly.  I also like how you can buy songs you like from iTunes or Amazon.
